Joanne is one of those fortunate persons who loves her profession and it shows. She is the 2009 recipient of the Howard Gates Award, awarded by the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors to the agent who completed the most challenging transaction of that year. While with a national franchise she was honored for her consistently high number of sales as well as her Humanitarian efforts in the community.
An agent since 1989, she has continually worked to expand her professional knowledge and skill earning the advanced designations of Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate of the Real Estate Institute, and Senior Real Estate Specialist. She is a member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate and the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
She is the owner/broker of Santa Barbara Living – Real Estate Brokerage which is dedicated to serving the real estate needs of the extended Santa Barbara community. A believer in real estate as a wealth building tool, she is invested in both residential and commercial properties throughout the country.
PERSONAL
She delights in being a wife, mother and grandmother to some pretty incredible people, large and small: her husband, Stuart Orenstein, a retired psychiatrist who is active in the local theater community; her daughter Heather, a financial director for a large company in Seattle; son Scott, COO for major port in Newark; and grandsons Austin, Carson and Kai.
She is passionately involved in the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise where she is a past president and Foundation Chair, multiple Paul Harris honoree and a major benefactor. She and Stuart love to travel, read, and enjoy theater and music.
