A native Californian, Kathy was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. She received her Associate in Arts Degree from the College of San Mateo and her Bachelor of Arts from North Dakota State University. Her transfer to Southern California with Stanford Research Institute in 1968 was the beginning of a love affair for the casual lifestyle and abundance of recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Kathy was first licensed for the sale of real estate in 1978. Family moves to North Dakota, Tennessee, Florida and Texas provided the interest and contrast for housing needs in many regions. She has held the Texas real estate license as well, selling properties in the Park Cities of Dallas. Moving to Santa Barbara in 1991, Kathy was an avid member of Newcomers and served on the board for two years. Friendships and activities flourished with that experience, and she remains active in the community, particularly enjoying the Santa Barbara Rose Society and Hospice of Santa Barbara. She is an avid golfer, having played competitively in Dallas, where she also was president of the 2,000 member Dallas Women's Golf Association. Having enjoyed a long career in administration and business, Kathy joins Village Properties to resume her passion for Real Estate. Living in so many geographical areas has provided Kathy with the knowledge of "the value of real estate." She loves negotiating and easily establishes a rapport with lenders, other agents and real estate associates. She is an excellent communicator and her honesty, tenacity and profound loyalty to her clients will make you want her on your team.
