Anita has been a licensed California Realtor for over 30 years. There is no substitute for experience. She has received countless awards for production, often in the top 3%-10% in the nation. She handles transactions from condos to estates. Her emphasis has been condos and homes. She was a winner of the Howard Gates award for successfully completing the most difficult transaction of the year. She has been on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors for two years. She was elected and is currently serving as Vice-President for 2009.
She has also been honored for her legislative efforts for property rights, housing advocacy and more. In addition, she has participated as speaker on numerous panels. She has chaired Government Relations committee and is an elected Trustee for the Political Action Committee. She has been active for years in the Government Relations committee addressing land use, property rights, and legislative issues affecting buyers and homeowners. She has also represented the industry at the State level in Sacramento participating in state and federal legislation that affects buyers and sellers. She is one of the foremost experts on Santa Barbara County Affordable Housing and a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).
Most of Anita’s business is referral and return customers. There are a number of properties she has represented up to five different times over the years. There is no “systematic approach” toward any client. Each client, each property, each family comes with their own individual set of needs. Clients often remark that they feel as though they are her ‘only’ clients because she works diligently seven days a week and is readily available.
She enjoys the gratification of finding a client their first home, regardless of the time it takes. Equally enjoyable is determining how to make that happen. Every situation is unique and for that reason every buyer and seller has to be viewed with fresh eyes to understand their priorities and tailor a plan of action for them.
She is highly respected among her peers, free of disputes or arbitration. She has the distinct advantage of working with a team of professional lenders, escrow officers, contractors, inspectors and marketing and advertising representatives. Her long time valued association with affiliates in the industry offers clients opportunities not otherwise afforded to others.
