Tom LePley, owner of Los Olivos Realty, has been buying, selling and leasing commercial, industrial and residential real estate since 1972. He has been involved in over $105 million in transactions. Tom's ability to discern, arbitrate and motivate have been an asset to his success, as well as his simple and honest approach to situations as they are presented. His 30 years experience in the tri-counties has given him a vast knowledge of people and properties in the area. In addition to local real estate, he currently has properties available in Italy.
An active history of involvement in his community is evident in that Tom has served on the Grand Jury of Santa Barbara County, and is an elder at the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church. He has been a member of the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Channel City Club of Santa Barbara, the University Club of Santa Barbara, the Lincoln Club, Rancheros Vistadores, Toastmaster's Club #5 Santa Barbara, the Viking Club of Solvang, California, Santa Ynez Valley Hunt, ex-MFH, the Santa Barbara Board of Realtors, the Santa Ynez Valley Board of Realtors, and the XXIII Olympic Games at Los Angeles. In 1990 and 1991, Tom and his family lived in Kitzbuhel, Austria, where he served in the Citizen Democracy Corps, and in the Citizen Democracy Corps in Czechoslovakia, 1991.
One of his great interests over the years has been horses. He raised and raced thoroughbreds, and was Master of the Santa Ynez Valley Hunt for many years. He was the Triple Crown Winner of California Steeplechase Race in 1980.
Currently, he enjoys driving horses, and Rancheros Vistadores. Tom graduated from Michigan State University in 1971, earning a degree in Philosophy of Religions and Art. He and his wife Maggie have four daughters, Kathleen, Anna, Molly and Elizabeth.
