Brook grew up in New York City, graduating from The Brearley School. She attended George Washington University and Columbia University, and has a BA in Cultural Anthropology.
Prior to her successful career in real estate, she was a professional actress starring on Broadway and television. She and her husband have four children and five grandchildren.
