Green Homes Santa Barbara is the brainchild of DeAnn Bauer, Realtor®, EcoBroker®, Notary Public and Property Manager.
DeAnn grew up in Minnesota with an interest in real estate early on; she worked for real estate agencies throughout her late high school and college years. In 1994 she received a BA degree from the University of St. Thomas in Sociology and Marketing. Out of college she worked for Aveda Corporation as their international marketing manager and later moved on to be the Trade Representative for the State of Minnesota specializing in organic food. She traveled the world matching up buyers and sellers. DeAnn has spent the last 13 years marketing all aspectes of the natural/organic products industry.
In 1999 she moved to California and began www.BrightIdeasCompany.com a marketing consulting firm that allowed her to work with a variety of different companies and non-profits lending them her creative marketing, fundraising and matchmaking expertise.
DeAnn has an uncanny sense of matching up people with just what they need to realize their dreams and goals. This skill coupled with her passion to raise awareness and protect the environment make her ideally situated for growing the budding Green Real Estate market. DeAnn is one of the first of a new breed of Realtors® who are EcoBroker® certified. This is a value add service DeAnn offers to her clients. What is an EcoBroker?
I have earned the EcoBroker Certified® designation, having successfully completed a unique and informative training program on the energy and environmental issues that affect real estate transactions. I am part of the movement of professionals pushing the real estate market toward energy-efficient, sustainable, and healthier design/features in homes and buildings.
The “performance home” movement is getting a boost thanks to this type of high quality real estate professional earning the EcoBroker designation. EcoBrokers® throughout the country are forging this market and creating competitive advantages for their customers.
