This minimalist contemporary masterpiece was created by Robin Donaldson AIA of Shubin and Donaldson Architects, Inc. inspired by the owner’s appreciation for clean open space to display their collection of artwork and furniture. The results: a house that incorporates the simplicity and sophistication of modern design while paying homage to the traditional courtyard configuration for which the Santa Barbara area is so well known. The use of steel trusses, soaring spaces, pervasive maple flooring and cabinetry provide visual stimulation throughout.
