Nestled on a quaint country lane in the Hedgerow area of Montecito, this George Washington Smith designed home sits with it's entry facing Lingate Lane. Branching out from his customary "California" style of the Lobero Theater and other important landmark homes, Smith built two homes for the James R. H. Wagners in the 1920's. The second of the homes was for Mrs. Wagner and as architectural historian David Gebhard noted "The dwelling radiates the elements of charm, character and romance".
